The local church has the capacity to change the local community. We not only contribute financially, but show the love of God to our community through serving. We have a couple of great ways for you to get involved, using the Free Stuff Van and being a part of ServeFest.
Opportunities to Serve
Free Stuff Van
You pull up, roll up the back door and out comes the party! Here at 2|42 we have a mobile block party van to equip and assist you with throwing the best block party in the area!
We’ve had many awesome years of serving the community through ServeFest by holding block parties, free pampering days for homeless youth and battered women; visiting nursing homes; free pop and donut giveaways; hospital, assisted living and frat house clean-up; delivering furniture to under-resourced people and much more! The 2|42 Contribution Team has strong community relationships and understands the local needs. The people of 2|42 understand the need to be an inwardly strong church that is outwardly focused.
During the year, the 2|42 Small Groups will also come along side our community through various service opportunities. You are welcome to join us in, “Showing God’s Love In Practical Ways With No Strings Attached.”
“The Local Church Is The Hope Of The World” – Bill Hybels
For years 2|42 has gone on various mission trips. We have gone to Alaska, India, Trinidad, Montana, Guatemala, Haiti and Costa Rica. We have studied and come along side of many people groups, learning their culture, serving them and sharing God’s Word. However, we have developed strong relationships with the people of Haiti and have concentrate our global efforts in Grand Bois.
Through our partnership with RainCatchers, we have built a church/school in Grand Bois, Haiti and have installed thousands of rain filtration systems to provide clean drinking water.
