Rooted is a discipleship experience that will connect you with God, the church and your purpose. Rooted teaches people what it means to be a disciple of Jesus, built on faith’s foundational elements such as worship, generosity, service, evangelism, prayer and studying God’s word.
This 11-week experience will consist of a combination of small group discussions, meaningful experiences, and 3 large-group gatherings. Rooted kicks off at each campus the week of January 27th and will wrap up with a large group celebration the week of April 14th.
“The Bible was not given for our information, but for our transformation.”
— D.L. Moody
Meeting for 10 weeks
What is Rooted?
Rooted is a 11 week discipleship experience that connects people to God, the church and their purpose.
What should I expect if I attend?
A group of people just like you committed to encouraging each other through this discipleship journey. You will meet as a group weekly for 11 weeks, discussing that week’s daily encounters and growing through discipleship experiences. There will also be 3 large group gatherings where all Rooted Groups will meet together at the same time.
Do I have to show up all 11 weeks?
We desire each participant to show up all 11 weeks. We promote commitment to foster group learning and community. If you think you will miss 3 or more meetings you might want to consider joining us for the next round of Rooted.
How will my group be determined?
If you are not an existing Small Group that is going through Rooted, your group will be determined geographically or by personal preference. This may vary from campus to campus.
How much does it cost?
Rooted at 2|42 costs $50, which pays for the book, large group gatherings, and childcare.
Where is it at?
Rooted Groups will be meeting at a predetermined location for your campus (see your Next Steps/Community Life Director for location information).
When will the next round of Rooted be offered?
The next time Rooted will be offered will be September 2019.
Is childcare available?
Yes, childcare is available for everyone.
What happens when it is over?
We hope that after Rooted, your group becomes a Life Group. The chance to lead your own Rooted Group in the future may be offered as well.
What is a Life Group?
A Life Group is a group of people who meet regularly to seek and respond to what God is doing in their lives.
