- Previous experience leading worship in a professional or church ministry setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to building the worship culture at 2|42 campus
- Pastor and lead a team of volunteers, including recruiting, shepherding, training, and developing worship and production leaders
- Lead and facilitate 2|42 Team Structure – a development pipeline for musicians and vocalists
- Collaborate towards creative weekend programming and participate with central worship arts for planning and execution
- Schedule teams through Planning Center Online (PCO)
- Create charts and tracks for weekend worship using Logic, Ableton, Multitrack Playback and PCO
- Assist and contribute to the execution of the online service broadcast
- Perform pastoral duties including teaching, baptism, funerals, communion, baby dedications, and spiritual counseling

Our Lead Pastor
TONY JOHNSON – LEAD PASTOR
Tony was born and raised in Hartford City, Indiana. He joined the team at 2|42 in September of 2021 as the Lead Pastor. As their lead follower of Christ, he’s been preaching Jesus and helping people discover and embrace their God-given purpose and potential.
Tony has an associate’s degree in broadcasting from Vincennes University and a bachelor’s in business marketing from Ball State University. He also obtained a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. Tony and his wife, Melissa, have three children: Magdalene, Canaan, and Jael.
In his spare time, you can find Tony cheering on the Miami Dolphins or camping and fishing with his family. He prefers camping over luxury hotels, smoothies over coffee, and gets excited about winters more than summers.
