We talk a lot about the New Testament church. However, there is a big gap between 1st century believers and today. Over the last 2,000 years the church has spread across the globe. The story behind the stained glass is filled with incredible people who’s faith changed the world. The story is also filled with some awful things that the church did in the name of religion.
In this series we explore the good, the bad and the ugly.
- The Legends. Early Christians that freely offered their life and death for the sake of the message.
- The Infected. Leaders who destroyed the message of Christ and corrupted the pure purpose of the church.
- The Rebels. Key people that weren’t afraid to go against the grain.
- The Game Changers. As Christianity turned into empty religion it took men of courage to relight the fire of God’s grace.
- The Messengers. Inspired disciples who left all they had and journeyed to far off lands just to tell people about Jesus Christ.
Key scriptures were lived out during key moments in history. Other scriptures were completely forgotten, with dire consequences. What can we learn from the Christians of the past? What did they get right and what did they get wrong?
