We live in a time where abundant information is at our disposal. With all of our human knowledge stored up and compiled from the past to the present, we continue to push forward in seeking greater wisdom. However, at the same time, the idea of holding onto a belief in God is perceived as the acceptance of ignorance. With so many different types of world religions, Christianity appears to be just another belief system.
Science and Faith
Christians seem to have their heart in the church but check their brain at the door, assuming that somehow faith and science cannot work together so it’s better to just separate the two. On the contrary, science is the primary declaration of God’s handiwork:
For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made. Romans 1:20
Christianity vs. Other Religions
There is becoming a predominant idea in our culture today that “all religions lead to the same God”. That the Jews, Buddhists and Muslims all pray to the same God and Christianity just happens to be the particular brand of ‘”god” we proclaim.
Again, just a little bit of study shows that this hypothesis is false. All of the other world religions are built on an entirely different foundation. Not only do they not harmonize with Christianity, they even contradict each other.
Big Think
“Big Think”, explores the compatibility and contradictions between Christianity, science, and other religions. Can science and faith be compatible? Is Christianity different from other religions? We are confident that the historical & scientific evidence declares there is a God and that he became a man, died and rose from the dead. Not just faith, but reason, leads us to the Bible for answers to life’s biggest questions.
