What is CIY Move?
MOVE is a 5-day summer event for 9th – 12th grade high school students that helps them know Jesus better, deepens their relationships, and sends them home ready to do Kingdom Work.

What is CIY Mix?

At MIX, your students will experience high-energy worship, age-intentional Bible teaching, community with their friends and adult leaders, and a practical call to Kingdom Work, all centered around the fun and chaos that is middle school ministry.

Why CIY?
It’s pretty simple. We believe God is using middle school and high school students to change the world. We love that we get to partner with CIY in preaching the Gospel to students. And while the Gospel is always enough, we must also work to maximize our efforts by communicating effectively in ways that our students will most readily understand.
And no one does that better for middle school and high school students than the CIY MIX and CIY MOVE teams. Middle school students will head to Hope College in Holland, Michigan and high school students will be headed to Bowling Green University, in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Our screened, approved, and excited small group leaders will be leading throughout both camps, so we have the adults handled. If you have any further questions or concerns, please reach out to your campus’s student pastor or check out: ciy.com.

Christ in Youth (CIY)
For more than fifty years CIY (Christ In Youth) has partnered with the local church to create moments and conversations that call young people to follow Jesus and into lives of Kingdom work. CIY has always found the best ways to create moments that inspire Kingdom work.
We believe young people are made for kingdom work. God has uniquely created each of us with special gifts, talents, and abilities that He wants us to use for His Kingdom. When young generations understand and embrace Christ’s call on their lives, they mobilize in ways that affect change all over the world. Why does CIY amplify Christ’s call on students’ lives to be a Kingdom worker? Because they are made for it!

FAQ
Leaders
Our leaders attending camp with us are the same volunteers who lead and serve at 2|42 STUDENTS every weekend. They are all background checked and go through extensive training within 2|42 STUDENTS in order to be qualified to lead students well.
We promote safety by carefully background checking every leader who serves in our ministry. We also have very specific guardrails in place that leaders are aware of and are expected to follow such as never being alone with a student. Additionally, CIY hires local police officers to provide additional security at the camp.
Transportation
In order to keep the cost of camp down we will not be providing transportation to and from CIY MIX or MOVE.
Check-in for MIX will be done at Hope College on the afternoon of July 26 & Pick-up will be done at Hope College on the morning of July 30. Location and specific times will be given to Parents & Guardians as we are given that information closer to camp. If you need help with transportation please contact your Campus’ Students Pastor for assistance.

Schedule
The day-to-day schedule includes 3 meals, 2 large group sessions including worship, teaching, and there are 2 small group sessions. Every student is placed in a small group with 8-12 other students of the same grade and gender, and the groups are led by one or more of our trusted Small Group Leaders. This is their group for the entire week. The schedule also consists of structured activities for students to participate in with their small group, along with some free time where students can use the camp facilities and build relationships with their small group.
Lastly
We enforce a very strict ratio of at least 1 Leader for every 7 students.
Sleeping arrangements consist of students having 1-2 roommates who are students from their small group, which means they are always the same grade and gender. Leaders are always 1-2 rooms away, but they never share rooms with students.
Each year, 2|42 STUDENTS takes more than 400 students to CIY, along with dozens of Staff Members and Small Group Leaders.
