Join the Team

2|42 needs teams to function, and we think that everyone has a spot to fill in God’s work in the Church. Check out the team descriptions below for an in-depth look at which team is a good fit for you, and what they do.

The first step to joining a team is to complete Step One. Click the link below to register for StepOne. If you’ve already completed Step One, reach out to your Campus Pastor.

First Impressions

Café | Brewing coffee for the weekend services, setting up pre-service, or staying post-service to clean up.

Parking | Ensuring a convenient and welcoming parking experience, parking attendants serve before and after services.

Welcome Team | The Welcome Team is the first impression of 2|42 as attendees enter the building. Greeters welcome people into the building, give information about upcoming events, and help new attendees get connected and find their place. Roles include Greeters, Hosts, and Welcome Table.

Prayer | Being available to pray with and for people during service and praying for prayer requests throughout the week.

Safety/Medical | Providing a safe, secure, and distraction-free environment for children and adults to take next steps. Responsibilities include monitoring, communicating, surveying the ministry areas, and responding to emergencies.

Connections | Working throughout the week to connect with new attendees and those individuals taking next steps at 2|42.

Ushering | Ensuring a welcoming environment as people enter the auditorium. Ushers are also responsible for collecting offering.

Next Steps Team | Our Next Steps Team is responsible for providing information and support to help people take their next step. Responsibilities include providing tours, answering questions, and helping people get signed up for teams, classes, and small groups. Must have taken the next steps of baptism and have attended StepOne.

Arts

Worship Arts | Leading adults in worship during the weekend services. Drummers, bassists, guitarists, singers, and pianists. Auditions will be scheduled.

Production Team | Creating an excellent audio and visual experience for the weekend services, Sound and Tech Team volunteers execute the weekend services.

Media (Graphics, Photography, Video) | Capturing priceless moments of people taking next steps with God. This team assists in providing visual images of people in and around 2|42.

Family Ministries

Nursery | Helping young children take next steps with God through the use of song, stories, and play.

Pre-Elementary | Teachers lead age-specific groups through lessons and activities. Storytellers are excellent communicators who share Biblical stories with children during large group time. Worship leaders guide children through movements to fun songs.

Elementary | Small group teachers lead students in the weekly lesson and building lasting relationships. Tech members execute the weekend Kids Services. Storytellers are excellent communicators who give messages during large group time. Weekly volunteers provide assistance with materials and curriculum.

One 2 One | Exists to cultivate an environment of respect, love, purpose, and strong biblical foundation for all children. We believe that every child bears the image of God and is infinitely valued and given purpose by Him. We are dedicated to helping children with special needs step into their fullest potential and their role in the Body of Christ.

2|42 Kids Check In | Assisting new and current families with the check in process. Registration team members welcome, connect, inform, and assist new and current families with their 2|42 Kids experience.

Middle School | Engaging small group leaders lead students in weekly lessons and build lasting relationships. Tech, band, and worship leaders lead students through their large group experience.

2|42 Students First Impressions | The first impressions team is anyone from security who is able to check in, set up, and tear down. These volunteers assist in providing a safe environment, elevate, and provide an excellent environment for students.

High School | Engaging small group leaders lead students in weekly lessons and build lasting relationships. Tech, band, and worship leaders lead students through their large group experience.

Local Serving Opportunities

During the year, our Small Groups will also come alongside our community through various service opportunities. You are welcome to join us in showing God’s love in practical ways with no strings attached.
