Meet Andy Mullikin

Our new Ann Arbor Campus Pastor

Andy Mullikin has been with 2|42 Community Church since his early ministry days, building a deep connection with the church that literally began at the altar—he and his wife Alexis were married at the Ann Arbor building. Since becoming Monroe Campus Pastor in 2020, Andy has brought both theological depth and relational warmth to his leadership, shaped by years of diverse ministry experience within the 2|42 family.

Andy’s journey at 2|42 began on the facilities staff in Ann Arbor, where he simultaneously participated in the church’s residency program while gaining hands-on experience in every aspect of church operations. His first ministry experience had been serving as Men’s Ministry Director at His House, a college ministry at Central Michigan University. After six months on the facilities team, Andy transitioned into the Next Steps Pastor role, helping people take their next steps in faith. He later joined the Campus Pastor Residency Program, which prepared him for his current role leading the Monroe campus.

Andy holds a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. An avid reader and devoted University of Michigan sports fan (Go Blue!), Andy balances his love of learning with his passion for helping others discover the transformative power of Scripture in everyday life.

Andy’s story with 2|42 is deeply intertwined with his personal life. When he first came to the Ann Arbor campus, his future wife Alexis was actually his small group leader—a reminder that God’s plans often unfold in unexpected ways. Alexis graduated from Michigan State University’s nursing program and went on to earn her graduate degree from the University of Michigan to become a Family Nurse Practitioner, bringing the same heart of service to healthcare that Andy brings to ministry.

Andy and Alexis have two children: Ava, who is 4 years old, and Asher, who is 2 months old. When he’s not pastoring or spending time with his family, you might find Andy at the water’s edge demonstrating his unusually exceptional rock-skipping skills—a hidden talent that continues to surprise those who discover it.
