Medical Hero Run

At 2|42, we’re hosting a Medical Hero Run to benefit staff at local medical facilities. Doctors, nurses, and medical workers have become our heroes during the Covid-19 crisis, and a virtual run can be a fun, healthy way to support them.

How does it work? Sign up online and map out your own course. You can complete your one mile, 5K, or 10K run or walk anytime from June 5 at 9 am until June 7 at 11:59 pm. Don’t forget to stay 6-feet away from anyone who is not part of your household! When you’ve finished, log your time on the race website and add a photo finish.

FAQ

How does a virtual run work?
The run itself won’t be online, but participants will log in to enter their time and an optional photo finish. Each participant will complete their own self-made course and then run or walk with purpose. We’re asking you to please practice safe social distancing and run or walk six-feet away from people who do not live in your household.

Who will benefit?
The proceeds, minus the cost of the T-shirts, will be donated to staff at medical facilities in seven Michigan communities: Ann Arbor, Brighton, Lansing, Livonia, Saginaw, Monroe, and Taylor.
