Serve Fest | Taylor

Every Sunday we close out our service with a simple but powerful commission: Go+Be the church where you live, work, and play. Serve Fest is an opportunity to help our church family live out our mission. Our goals for these service projects are to Go+Be light in the world around us, to bring hope to those who need it, to foster community in our church, to introduce our small groups to future potential non-profit partnerships for ongoing serving, and to provide an opportunity for people to get connected to our church.

How can you join in? Mark your calendars for the dates below. RSVP for the events you can join, invite your small group to join you, and invite someone who is not connected to a church to simply come and do some good with you.

Where? LDFA Main Headquarters (21805 Woodruff Rd. Rockwood)
Little Dresses for Africa (LDFA) was started by a downriver woman and provides humanitarian relief to the most vulnerable of God’s children: little girls. These dresses, made by volunteers from around the world, go out as little ambassadors to plant in the hearts of little girls that they are worthy. As relationships are built, projects are completed through clean water, education and community. “We’re not just sending dresses, we’re sending hope.” These little dresses are given freely to those in need. We plant the seeds. God sends the harvest. Join us as we sort dresses, pack boxes, weigh, and load them. Children five and up can volunteer too. Wear comfortable summer clothes and tennis shoes.
