When we battle this tension we end up wondering why we keep doing some of the same things wrong over and over. Watching things you shouldn’t be or telling one more lie or just doing something you know is wrong because society and social standards make it seem okay. You tell yourself you’ll stop doing something and then before you know it, you’re doing it again. These things that become bad habits and tear you down and bring you farther away from God and you just wonder why this keeps happening, what was I thinking?
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_column_text]If our past decisions don’t make sense we should focus on trying to solve it before we move on. Sometimes you just need to stop and separate yourself from the problem completely. Long enough to figure out what’s wrong. Taking time to step back and figure it out. Unless you change the way you think, you won’t change what you used to do. If you can change the way you think, you can keep yourself from making past mistakes.
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_column_text]”Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.” (Romans 12|1) Offering yourself to God to be a living sacrifice, and living for God’s glory.
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_column_text]”Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”(Romans 12|2) It’s easy to be an everybody and do what everyone else is. Make an effort, make a decision to be different so you can make different choices. Be transformed through God. (Don’t be this guy, be this guy says Misha as he plays with a cookie cutter and transformer) And pay attention to what you’re thinking. Take time to change your thinking and be transformed.
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_column_text]We are transformed. So next time we wonder why we’re going down that path we’re taking we need to stop and answer that question and renew our minds. Taking off the old before putting on the new, and it will probably take time.
[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_column_text]”Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing, perfect will.” (Romans 12|2) Taking time to renew our minds and be transformed will show us what God wants. If we don’t change the way we think, we won’t change the way we make decisions. We are in the world but we don’t have to conform. We are called to be transformed and renew our minds because we are not of the world.[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”16px”][vc_btn title=”NEXT SESSION” style=”outline-custom” outline_custom_color=”#ff7905″ outline_custom_hover_background=”#ff7905″ outline_custom_hover_text=”#ffffff” shape=”square” size=”lg” align=”center” link=”||”][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
